Cassy Legaspi revealed that she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a kind of disorder when a thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough hormones.
Legaspi opened up about her hypothyroidism diagnosis on the January 24 episode of “Kapuso Artistambayan,” recalling that she decided to have a check-up after her friends and family noticed that there were moments when she looked sick.
Article continues after this advertisement“I’m always sick. Hindi ko na kaya maging madaldal. Fatigued ako, tapos intense falling hair. Sobra talaga. Tapos palagi akong nilalamig, parang may fever ako palagi, pero fever na nilalamig,” she recalled while noting that she struggled with losing weight in the past.

After visiting the doctor, Legaspi said she made it a point to manage her health at all times instead of setting her sights on losing weight.
Article continues after this advertisement“Noong nagpa-check up ako, na-realize ko na ang new goal is to [be] healthy,” she said. “Sabi ko talaga, ‘Alam mo at this point Cassandra, huwag ka nang magpapayat (When I had a check-up, I realized that my new goal is to be healthy. I told myself that I shouldn’t set my sights on losing weight),’” she said.

Legaspi sparked relationship rumors with performer-TV host Darren Espanto in 2024 after being spotted together on multiple occasions. However, Espanto clarified in April of last year that Legaspi is only his “best friend” which was then echoed by the actress days later.
